AI - Google Keynote
Rise of the Planet of the Robots - Project Astra and Gemini Live
Highlights from the Google Keynote: There’s so much to unpack with regards to Google I/O 2024, we could keep you here for hours. But we know you’re an on-the-go, places to see and people to see kinda person so we’ll just stick to the need-to-knows for now.
Google unveiled Gemini Live - an updated version of Gemini, their current AI chatbot. Live allows users to have real-time voice conversations through their smartphones, with the AI designed specifically to interpret and mimic natural human conversation.
Live features the ability to analyze images and video shown through the smartphone camera, and can eventually be used as an assistant of sorts. For instance, ask the AI “where are my keys?” and it can respond with the last place it “saw” your keys.
Project Astra from DeepMind informs some of the tech behind Gemini Live, focused on creating AI-powered applications that can see and hear like humans, understand the context of different situations, and respond quickly and naturally. These AI agents aim to be useful in everyday life by providing real-time assistance, making conversations with AI feel more natural and intuitive.
Terrifyingly invasive? Wildly convenient and genius? It’s a thin line here in tech.
Privacy concerns aside, here’s a few ways you can use this powerful tech for your business:
Virtual Assistance: Business owners can streamline operations and improve productivity by using Gemini Live as a virtual assistant to manage daily tasks such as scheduling meetings, setting reminders, organizing emails.
Market Research: Using its advanced data analysis capabilities, Gemini Live can help business owners gather insights from large datasets, such as customer feedback and market trends. This can inform strategic decisions and help identify new growth opportunities.
Sales Support: Sales teams can use Gemini Live to provide real-time product information, answer customer queries, and assist in closing deals. Its ability to understand and respond to visual and verbal cues can make sales interactions more effective and engaging.
Operational Efficiency: By automating routine tasks and providing real-time insights, Gemini Live can help businesses streamline their operations. For example, it can monitor inventory levels, track shipments, and manage supply chain logistics.
That’s just a fraction of the capabilities offered by Project Astra and Gemini Live. Stay tuned for more insights into how you can use this tech to grow your business 🌱
AI: ChatGPT-4o
ChatGPT-4o Really Can Do It All
Harnessing the Power of AI: One day before the Google Keynote, OpenAI announced the launch of ChatGPT-4o (omni), their “flagship model that can reason across audio, vision, and text in real time.” The latest model is faster, has a better understanding of vision and audio, speaks more languages, surfs the web, and generates images. Perhaps the most interesting feature of ChatGPT-4o (in our humble opinion) is its conversational affect that feels like real human conversation - it can even laugh! Sort of creepy, but in the “can’t stop looking” kind of way.
Check out OpenAI’s demonstration videos to witness the model’s capabilities first hand. Gravity Jack is not liable for any heads exploding, nor are we responsible for picking jaws up off the floor.
Impending AI takeover aside, why does this new model matter for you and your business?
Customer Engagement: Interact with customers through text, voice, images, and videos, providing real-time support and personalized responses. This multimodal approach can enhance the customer experience by making interactions more engaging and responsive.
Marketing: ChatGPT-4o can generate diverse content for marketing campaigns, such as creating compelling ad copy, designing promotional visuals, and producing engaging video content. It can also analyze customer data from various sources to help develop targeted marketing strategies.
Product Development: By analyzing customer feedback from text, audio, image, and video inputs, ChatGPT-4o can provide valuable insights into customer preferences and pain points. This information can guide product development and improvements.
Training and Development: ChatGPT-4o can be used for employee training by creating interactive, multimodal training materials. It can simulate real-world scenarios using text, audio, and video, providing employees with a comprehensive learning experience.
Try ChatGPT-4o now to watch AI streamline your business operations like never before!
Apple Ad
Not All Press is Good Press - Apple Crushes Human Spirit
Another Fail from Apple: People are raging over Apple’s latest ad for the iPad Pro, and we have to admit it’s warranted. One of Apple’s greatest strategies was aligning themselves with the creatives of the world, but they just threw that to the wind with a haunting new commercial for the skinniest iPad ever.
The video features a massive industrial press literally crushing an anthology of human spirit – splintering gorgeous instruments, smashing a classic arcade game, bursting cans of paint, and mangling books to create a depressing graveyard of creative expression.
While the purpose of the ad was obviously to communicate that all those things can be pressed into one tiny iPad, the audience sees one thing: a nail in the coffin of artistry and all things beautiful. We’re not sure who keeps letting Tim into the kitchen, but he certainly isn’t cooking.
